Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) in Dubai
A tummy tuck removes excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen and tightens the underlying muscles, for a flatter, firmer abdominal contour. Performed by Dr Amna Belhoul, Consultant & Head of Plastic Surgery, in a surgeon-led clinic in Mirdif Hills.

What a tummy tuck is, and who it helps
Abdominoplasty, commonly called a tummy tuck, is a body-contouring operation that removes loose, excess skin and stubborn fat across the lower abdomen and repairs the abdominal muscles when they have separated. It is most often considered after pregnancy or after significant weight loss, when skin and muscle no longer tighten on their own.
It is a surgical procedure, not a weight-loss method. It works best for people close to a stable weight who want to address skin and muscle laxity that diet and exercise cannot. Your suitability, options and risks are assessed individually at consultation.

Types of tummy tuck we offer
The right approach depends on how much loose skin you have, whether the muscles have separated, and your goals. Options are discussed at consultation.
Full abdominoplasty
For excess skin above and below the navel, often with muscle repair. Addresses the full lower abdomen.
Mini tummy tuck
A smaller procedure for laxity limited to below the navel, with a shorter scar where suitable.
Tummy tuck with liposuction
Combining abdominoplasty with liposuction of the flanks can refine the overall waist contour in suitable cases.
Recovery and what to expect
You will wear a support garment and rest for the first days, with swelling and tightness that ease gradually over the following weeks. Most people take one to two weeks away from a desk job, and avoid strenuous exercise for around six weeks, on your surgeon’s guidance.
Because recovery happens in the same clinic that planned your surgery, lymphatic-drainage sessions can be timed to help manage swelling and fluid as you heal.
- Support garment in the early weeks
- Swelling settles gradually over weeks to months
- Lymphatic drainage on your surgeon’s instruction
- Scar placed low, to sit below underwear where possible
Tummy tuck — frequently asked questions
How much does a tummy tuck cost in Dubai?
The cost depends on the type of tummy tuck, whether muscle repair or liposuction is combined, and your individual case. After your consultation with Dr Amna we provide a clear, itemised quote. Message us on WhatsApp to arrange your consultation.
What is the difference between a full and a mini tummy tuck?
A full abdominoplasty addresses loose skin above and below the navel and usually includes muscle repair. A mini tummy tuck treats laxity limited to below the navel, with a shorter scar. Dr Amna advises which suits you at consultation.
How long is the recovery after a tummy tuck?
Most people take one to two weeks off a desk job and avoid strenuous activity for around six weeks. Swelling settles gradually over the following weeks to months. Your surgeon gives you a personalised timeline and aftercare plan.
Can I have a tummy tuck after a C-section or pregnancy?
Yes. A tummy tuck is commonly considered after pregnancy, when skin and separated muscles do not recover on their own. It is generally advised once you are no longer planning further pregnancies and your weight is stable. We assess timing individually.
Is a tummy tuck a way to lose weight?
No. It removes excess skin and fat and tightens muscle, but it is a body-contouring operation, not a weight-loss treatment. It works best when you are close to a stable target weight.
Will there be a scar?
Yes, a tummy tuck leaves a scar low across the abdomen, positioned to sit below underwear or swimwear where possible. Scars fade over time but do not disappear. Dr Amna’s reconstructive background informs careful scar placement and aftercare.
Who performs the surgery?
