Breast lift (mastopexy) in Dubai
A breast lift — mastopexy — reshapes and raises breast tissue that has lost firmness over time, restoring a more natural position and contour without necessarily adding volume. Performed by Dr Amna Belhoul, Consultant & Head of Plastic Surgery, in a surgeon-led clinic in Mirdif Hills, Dubai.
Lift only · Lift with implants · Scar-conscious technique

What a breast lift is, and who it may help
Mastopexy is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and reshapes the underlying breast tissue to raise the breast to a higher, more natural position on the chest. The nipple and areola are repositioned as part of the operation. It does not add significant volume on its own — that is the distinction from augmentation.
It is most often considered after pregnancy, breastfeeding or significant weight changes, when breast tissue and skin have stretched and the breast has lost its earlier shape. Your suitability, technique options and individual risks are assessed at your consultation — outcomes vary from person to person.

Techniques we offer
The right approach depends on how much skin laxity is present, your breast volume, and whether you want to change size at the same time. All options are discussed at your consultation.
Breast lift (mastopexy)
The core procedure: excess skin is removed, breast tissue is reshaped and the nipple-areola complex is repositioned. Suitable when volume is adequate and shape or position is the main concern.
Lift with implants
A lift can be combined with implants in suitable cases where both position and volume need to be addressed. The combination is assessed carefully — not every case is suitable for both procedures at once.
Scar-conscious techniques
Scar pattern — lollipop (vertical) or anchor (inverted-T) — is chosen to match the degree of correction needed, with Dr Amna’s reconstructive training informing placement, closure and aftercare to support the best possible healing.
Recovery and what to expect
You will wear a supportive surgical bra for several weeks after surgery, with swelling and some discomfort in the early days that settle gradually. Most people take one to two weeks away from a desk job and avoid strenuous activity for around six weeks, following your surgeon’s specific guidance.
In-clinic LPG lymphatic-drainage sessions can be timed to support the healing process. Because recovery is coordinated by the same team that planned your surgery, the aftercare plan is continuous and personalised.
- Supportive surgical bra in the weeks following surgery
- Swelling and firmness settle gradually over weeks to months
- Lymphatic drainage on your surgeon’s instruction
- Scars placed to minimise visibility; they fade over time but do not disappear
Breast lift — frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a breast lift and breast augmentation?
A breast lift (mastopexy) addresses the position and shape of the breast — it raises and reshapes tissue that has drooped, without significantly adding volume. Breast augmentation adds volume using implants but does not correct significant drooping on its own. Some people opt to combine both, which is assessed individually at consultation.
Will there be scars after a breast lift?
Yes. A breast lift leaves scars — typically around the areola and along a vertical line beneath it, and in some cases a short horizontal crease in the fold. Scars fade considerably over the first year or two but do not disappear. The scar pattern is chosen to match what your correction requires, and Dr Amna’s reconstructive training informs careful placement and aftercare.
Can I have a breast lift with implants at the same time?
In suitable cases, a lift can be combined with implants in a single procedure. However, combining the two operations adds complexity, and not every case is appropriate for them simultaneously. Dr Amna will assess your anatomy, your goals and any additional risks at your consultation and advise on the safest, most appropriate plan.
How long is the recovery after a breast lift?
Most people take one to two weeks away from a desk job and avoid strenuous exercise for around six weeks. Swelling and firmness settle gradually over weeks to months. Your surgeon provides a personalised recovery timeline and aftercare plan at your post-operative appointments.
Can I have a breast lift after pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Yes. Changes following pregnancy and breastfeeding are among the most common reasons people consider a breast lift. It is generally advised to wait until breastfeeding is fully complete, your weight has stabilised, and you are not planning further pregnancies, as these can affect results. The timing is assessed individually.
Is there a non-surgical alternative to a breast lift?
Non-surgical treatments cannot replicate the skin removal and tissue reshaping that mastopexy achieves — the correction a lift provides is not available through non-invasive means. Depending on your individual case, Dr Amna will explain what surgical and non-surgical options are and are not able to address, so you can make an informed decision.
How much does a breast lift cost in Dubai?
The cost depends on the technique required, whether implants are combined, and your individual case. After your consultation with Dr Amna we provide a clear, itemised quote. Message us on WhatsApp to arrange your consultation.
